At least 51,000 records were exposed in the breach of Montgomery Ward but they didn't tell customers.

ATM-Debit Card Breach at Citibank --- Thursday, June 19, 2008


According to a blog entry at Wired, it looks like a Citibank computer that processes ATM transactions was hacked. Citibank denies it, of course, but they notified the FBI of a hack on February 1st of this year - that’s been documented.
