ATM-Debit Card Breach at Citibank --- Thursday, June 19, 2008
According to a blog entry at Wired, it looks like a Citibank computer that processes ATM transactions was hacked. Citibank denies it, of course, but they notified the FBI of a hack on February 1st of this year - that’s been documented.

Now Bank of New York Mellon is reporting not one but two incidents of loss of unencrypted data, but their website says, "Protecting the confidentiality and integrity of our clients' information is one of The Bank of New York Mellon's highest priorities"
