RFID Credit Cards in the U.S. After All?

We all know that Smart Cards have been in use in private branding for some time now, mostly for gas purchases, but I’ve been saying that Smart Cards (RFID) by the major card companies won’t be coming to the U.S. because that’s what the card companies have been saying. According to at least one report, this isn’t true.

WBZ Boston reported this morning that they are being used and Visa, MasterCard and AmEx are mentioned by name. This is an interesting development that needs more digging.

Since nobody will be able to get an answer from the card companies themselves, I pose the question to my readers… Do you know for a fact if RFID cards with Visa or MC branding are being used anywhere in the US. Please tell us where!
